Day 1 was actually harder than I expected it to be. For the first day you are supposed to go through a variety of exercises to track your progree throughout the program. Here are my results:
Switch Kicks- 80
Power Jacks- 45
Power Knees- 50
Power Jumps- 25
Globe Jumps- 7
Suicide Jumps- 10
Push-Up Jacks-8
Low Plank Oblique- 21
Each of these are pretty challenging especially when you have to do as many as you can for 60 seconds. I am dripping in sweat from the 25 minute workout so I can just imagine what the next 59 days will be like. I can't wait to check the progress I make in a week!!! Anyone interested yet? Gotta go, dripping in sweat from the workout!!!

The beginning of a happier and healthier lifestyle......
I am creating this blog to help me gain the motivation I need to complete an exercise regimen. Before I was pregnant with my son I weighed 120 pounds. What I would give to have that body back! I gained 35 pounds during my pregnancy and lost about 20 pounds after having my son.
Now the terror starts. Being the good mother I am I decided to breastfeed my son. Let me start by telling you be was 8 pounds and 12 ounces. For the first six months all I did was sit on the couch and feed my son. He was such a big boy and he always wanted to eat, on top of that he always wanted to be held no rockers, swings, bouncers, etc. only mommy's arms. Needless to say weight gain was inevitable.
I have tried diets, gym memberships, exercise equipment, exercise programs that guarantee success. I usually start very well, get bored with it and quit. So here I sit three years later and I weigh 165 pounds, a number that haunts me every time I say it. I am starting the insanity workout program which guarantees results in their 60 day challenge. I will be following the diets guide and the exercise program as directed in the guide. To gain the strength I need to successfully finish this program I am sharing my journey. The first day of my challenge will begin on December 14, 2009 and it will end on February 14, 2010, exactly 63 days.
Please feel free to comment. I want to share my experience with everyone mostly mothers who have little to no time. I would love to find an exercise program that WORKS! Also, if I can do it, anyone can do it. Please comment
To get started, here are my measurements:
5' 4 inches tall and 165 pounds
Neck- 14 inches
Chest- 41 inches
Midsection, bellybutton area- 42 inches
Right thigh- 25 inches
Left thigh- 24 inches
Right arm- 12 ½ inches
Left arm- 12 inches
